This reference site provides information on sites that enable one to appropriately get diverse information on Australian literature and arts. Aided with the fact that it is in English, Australian literature continues to attract increasingly more readers throughout the world. As a reflection of the multicultural society that Australia is, it boasts authors with a number of various cultural backgrounds not only including England and Ireland, but also other European nations, Asia, and Africa. On the artistic front, i.e., fine art and drama, Australian artists are expanding their activities across this ever-globalizing international society. Literature and art from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders has also come to the forefront, and sites specialized in introducing them, such as Blackwords, provide a large amount of related information. The sites that can be accessed from the National Library of Australia, e.g., Libraries Australia and Trove, allow for searches of written and audiovisual materials in libraries and research institutes throughout the country.
